What size files do you deliver? And in what format?
Images are delivered as sRGB Jpegs, sent via an online gallery. You will have download access to both a hi res and web-ready version of each image. The hi res is 6000px on the long side, and the web-ready is 2048px on the long side.

what is the turnaround time on images?
Your gallery will be ready 14 days from the shoot date.

do you charge for travel?
Travel within a 30km radius from Craighall, Johannesburg is included. Thereafter a rate per km and/or accommodation fee may apply. This will be discussed with you based on your individual shoot requirements.
how far in advance do i need to book with you?
Typically I shoot on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and book 3 to 4 weeks in advance, especially during the summer months (October - March) which are also my Matric Dance, Wedding and and Family Portrait seasons. Winter months are a bit more flexible. If you have a particular date in mind, let me know when making your enquiry.
Will I receive edited images? what is the difference between standard and advanced retouching?
Yes, all the images you receive are edited with a STANDARD EDIT so that the content you receive is in line with what you see in my portfolio.
STANDARD retouching includes colour correction, colour grading, cropping, plus skin softening and the removal of small, non-permanent blemishes.
ADVANCED retouching includes body morphing, tattoo and scar removal, removal of wrinkles, removal of extensive acne, deep etching onto a white or transparent background, changing the background or clothing colours. Advanced retouching is an additional fee per image.
do the images come with commercial licensing rights?
Yes! You are able to use your images for all forms of internal and external marketing and advertising purposes, and as the copyright holder, I may also use your images on my website and social media.
No images may be SOLD to a third party without prior approval. Should you wish to purchase a copyright buyout of your images, please let me know.
what backdrop options do you offer?
For headshots on site, I have three backdrop options I use and recommend:
White
Grey
Black
The white backdrop is the most popular option and can photograph pure white or light grey depending on your requirements.
You might choose to use another plain-coloured wall in your office or boardroom as a backdrop. An alternative would be to photograph the staff in a 'lifestyle' setting as an environmental portrait.
When photographing team portraits, I don't typically shoot full length options - please let me know in advance should you need full length images as these require a different set-up.
If you wish to do multiple different backdrops or use multiple areas within your office space, more time is required for the shoot.
If you are coming to me in studio, the same backdrop choices are available. Depending on the session type you have booked, we will also use various spaces around the studio for some "lifestyle"-type images.
